A short story penned at age 11 by Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier kidnapped in Gaza in June 2006, accompanied by professional illustrations. It first appeared on the Web site devoted to the kidnapped Israeli soldiers.

The story is about a shark and a fish who become friends, who continue to play together despite parental pressure to remain natural enemies, and who ultimately forge peace between their two species.

Story and illustrations, by members of the Israel Association of Illustrators, are currently on exhibit at The Edge gallery in Nahariya. Also on display are children's drawings inspired by Shalit's story.
Following the book's publication, the exhibit will move to the center of the country, where organizers hope to extend the drawing project to more childre
